New street

The city grows while we sleep, another new house, construction that just started a block away is now complete, with flowers and young trees planted up front. The road pushes forward, another mile, another layer of asphalt, poking the city limits, like a thin sheet of dough stretching to the max, to become the fine pastry, with vanilla cream, please. Be careful with this stretching in this yoga exercise, when thinned out, one might get holes in the dough, the city leaking its people through them into the hot oven.
